For every body it records what is claimed, what the Church holds, what each examination found, everything that was done to the body, and where it can be seen today.

The site is openly Catholic and defers to science. It presents the case, shows the evidence, records the Church's judgment, and does not overclaim. It never declares a phenomenon supernatural, and it never says that the Vatican has ruled on incorruption, because it has not. A reader should be unable to tell whether the author hopes a claim is true.

Saints and Science is an independent record. It is not run by a diocese, a religious order, or a shrine, it sells nothing that touches a relic, and it carries no advertising.

The Church's status is given in the Church's own vocabulary. For incorruption it is always "Not treated as a miracle", because the Church does not count incorruption among the miracles it examines for beatification or canonization. Why that is.

The evidence grade, A to D, describes the quality and accessibility of the evidence for a body's documented condition and treatment, never the truth of the claim. How we grade.

Under the two labels, every incorrupt body carries a preservation line that says what was found and what was done: the condition, the mechanism when one has been determined, and any wax, silicone, embalming, or other intervention, with its year. When a face or hands are covered or remade, the case says so in its first two sentences.

The draft register was gathered on September 22, 2026 from about 300 lists, articles, and scholarly papers in six languages, matched into one row per person. Software helped with the gathering and matching. People decide what is published, and nothing in the register is treated as verified until it has been checked against primary sources and written up as a case file. How the draft was built.

Photographs show bodies only as the Church displays them for veneration, from where the faithful stand, and only with the custodian's permission. Every photograph carries its caption and its credit. Images made during an exhumation or a canonical recognition are not published.

Every report is acknowledged within 14 days and decided within 30. Corrections that change a fact are recorded here, with the date.

The pages, fonts, and scripts are all served from saintsandscience.com. Nothing is fetched from another company while you read, so no advertiser or analytics service sees you here. The company that hosts the site processes the connection data needed to deliver the pages, as any host does.

If you change the theme or the text size, open a case file, dismiss the "continue" panel, or mark a case as read, the site remembers that in your own browser's storage, on your device only. It is never sent anywhere, and clearing your browser's site data removes it. Nothing else is stored.

The map never asks for your location. You choose a starting point from a list, and distances are worked out on your device.
